Oilalà 5 Star is a no-nonsense extra virgin olive oil for daily use. Mild, accessible, and economical per liter, packaged in a practical 3-liter bag-in-box.

The oil is a blend of 70% Greek Koroneiki and 30% Italian olive oil. For the Italian portion, olives from Apulia are used: Ogliarola, Leccino, Peranzana, and Coratina. Together, they yield a soft, round oil that is neither too bitter nor too intense.

This oil is especially for people who use extra virgin olive oil broadly. Over salads, bread, tomatoes, vegetables, pasta, and legumes, but also simply for baking, frying, soups, sauces, and stews.

The bag-in-box protects the oil from light and limits contact with oxygen. Handy if you frequently use good olive oil, without thinking with every pour: there goes another half a bottle.

Smaak & gebruik

Oilalà 5 Star is soft, mild, and lightly fruity. The oil is not too intense and not distinctly bitter. If you taste it pure, you will notice a subtle peppery note in the throat and possibly a slight sweetness, coming from slightly riper harvested olives.

Precisely because of its mild profile, this oil is versatile. Use it cold over salads, burrata, mozzarella, tomato, grilled or steamed vegetables, bread, dips, pasta, and legumes.

You can also use it well when warm: for baking and roasting, pan and oven preparations, soups, sauces, and stews. This is not an oil you save only for that one perfect tomato in August. This is an everyday kitchen oil, but extra virgin.
